At the beginning of time, the first Spinjitzu master created the 4 golden weapons that control the 4 elements: fire, lightning, ice and earth.

Sensei Wu, a master of Spinjitzu, is looking for the 4 ninjas who will control the golden weapons. 

He is already searching for the fourth, Kai, who works in a blacksmith shop with his sister. 

Creatures from the underworld, the skeletons, arrive and kidnap Kai's sister, Nya. 

Kai wants to save his sister, so he goes with Sensei Wu.  He meets the other ninjas, Zane, Cole and Jay. Kai is the master of fire, Cole is the master of earth, Zane is the master of ice and Jay is the master of lightning. They obtain the four golden weapons of Spinjitzu. They save Nya and go down to the Underworld with the help of the dragons guarding the weapons. There, they have not yet managed to defeat Lord Garmadon, who has since risen to the surface with the power of the golden weapons.
