The story centers on humble CIA analyst Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy), who works behind the scenes to prepare the agency's most dangerous and difficult missions and advises the field agents during operations. However, when her partner Bradley Fine (Jude Law) is killed, she is forced to throw herself into the matter to exact revenge on the perpetrator. She receives unsolicited help from fired agent Rick Ford (Jason Statham), with whom she tracks down De Luca and Rayna Boyanov.
